North Hampshire Militia, a very fine and rare officers’ 1829-44 pattern shako plate, 150 x 122mm (approx), the crowned copper gilt back plate overlaid with a diamond-cut eight-pointed silver star, this in turn overlaid with a gilt Garter Proper, having a silver centre with red enamel cross, below a floreated scroll ‘North Hants’, the reverse with retaining loops and four out of five additional wires, also journeyman’s mark of a fleur-de-lys, excellent condition £1000-1200
