Edward McDermott was born in Birmingham and enlisted into the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry on 14 March 1888. He served in the Boer War from 5 November 1899 to 6 August 1900. He was discharged with a gratuity on 13 March 1901. Sold with copied service papers.
