China, Count Noghi, Port Arthur (Ryojun, Manchuria), 1912, an octagonal bronze plaque by H. Taglang, facing three-quarter bust, rev. roaring lion stood on rock looking out to sea, port-arthur above, 70mm (BDM VI, 7-8; cf. BDW 5, 72). Usual Chinese characters in incuse in fields both sides, good very fine and very rare (£100-150)
