Arthur Elliot was born at Lisburn, county Antrim, and enlisted for unlimited service on 20 December 1803. At Waterloo where his regiment formed part of the 'Union' Brigade, he was wounded in both hips and thigh by a Lance. He was admitted to Chelsea Hospital on 24 February 1818, with a pension of 9 pence per day.
