Sold with card box of issue for G.S.M., original Officer's Record of Service (Army Book 439) and Service History Sheet (Army Form B199A), several photographs and confirmation of Malta Anniversary medal.
Alexander Michael St. Ledger Ramsay-Murray was born in 1917 and educated at Bedford School and Selwyn College, Cambridge. He joined the Royal Artillery, 12 Field Regiment, in September 1939 and, after a two month special training course with No. 3 Commando, embarked for Malta in October 1940. He was posted as Adjutant to the 5th Coast Regiment, Royal Malta Artillery, and remained in Malta until September 1943. He was mentioned in despatches London Gazette, 29 November, 1945, and retired in February 1965.
