Arthur Guinness, Son and Co. Ltd., Dublin, Roll of Employees Who Served in His Majesty’s Naval, Military and Air Forces, 1914-18, being the high-quality roll published by the famous brewers, the title and company name in gilt upon green leather binding, marbled inside covers, 42 pp., together with original forwarding message addressed to ‘Mrs. Mary Yarnell, Lisle Villa, Crumlin, Co. Dublin’, dated 22 February 1922, the whole contained in a green leather case with gilt inscription to front, ‘The Great War 1914-18 Commemorative Roll’, good condition (Lot) £300-400

Forwarded to Mrs. Mary Yarnell in respect of Private Victor Yarnell, South Irish Horse, who was killed in action on attachment to the 7th Battalion, Royal Irish Regiment on 27 March 1918. Formerly a member of the Cask Department at Messrs. Guinness, he has no known grave and is commemorated on the Pozieres Memorial.
