Kenneth Biggs joined the R.A.M.C. as Lieutenant on 15 September 1914, rising to Captain. He then transferred to the Royal Air Force in the same rank on 1 October 1918. On 13 July 1920 he became Flight Lieutenant in the Medical Branch, and subsequently rose to the rank of Acting Air Vice-Marshal. He reverted to the Retired List on 2 November 1947, retaining the rank of Air Vice-Marshal.
