1 officer and 25 other ranks of 1/King’s Royal Rifle Corps served in the Mounted Infantry Camel Regiment on the Nile, of whom the officer and 12 men served also at Abu Klea.
William George Hadley was born in Bethnal Green, London, and enlisted for the K.R.R.C. at Kingston on 29 November 1883, aged 20, an engine cleaner by trade who had some previous service in the 2/East Surrey Regiment. He was discharged on 28 November 1890. Sold with copy discharge papers.
