France, Presidency, Legion of Honour, Commander’s neck badge, 90 x 59mm., gold and enamel, with ‘eagle head’ (post-1838) stamp mark, with old (damaged) neck cravat, enamel damage to green wreath, some enamel damage to white arms, better than very fine, scarce £900-1200

Attributed to the Marquis de Cannelac. Sold with a partially corroded and faint daguerreotype of the recipient wearing the Legion of Honour neck badge, a Papal Order of St.Gregory neck badge, and a Spanish Order of St. Ferdinand.
