Gaul, The Volcæ Arecomici, silver Drachm, head left with ‘negroid’ features and hair in curls, rev. cross, pellet in centre, pellets and crescents in angles, 3.27g/12h (Boudet-Depeyrot, Monnaies gauloises à la croix, p.46, 3; BMC S123; cf. LT 3040). Struck on a thick, square flan as usual, good very fine £150-200
