William George Stimpson was born in and enlisted at Abingdon, Berkshire. With the 33rd Brigade R.F.A. he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 6 November 1914. Serving with the 2nd Divisional Ammunition Column, R.F.A., he died of wounds on 1 February 1917. He was buried in the Contay British Cemetery, France. With some copied research.
