Distinguished Flying Cross, G.V.R., the reverse attractively engraved (J.L.A., Decr. 22nd 1919); British War and Victory Medals (Lieut., R.A.F.); India General Service 1908-35, 2 clasps, Mohmand 1933, North West Frontier 1935 (F/L, R.A.F.); India General Service 1936-39, 1 clasp, North West Frontier 1936-37 (S/L, R.A.F.); Defence and War Medals, M.I.D.; Iraq, Active Service Medal; Russia, Order of St. Stanislaus, 2nd class neck badge with swords, silver-gilt and enamels, an attractive badge probably of French manufacture, the first eight mounted as worn, generally very fine or better (9)

Sold with some research which shows service in Iraq 1923-24 with No. 30 Squadron, and in India 1933-38 with No. 1 Indian Group and No. 31 (Army Co-op) Squadron. During this period he was posted for photographic duties. He was promoted Squadron Leader, 1935; Wing Commander, 1938; Group Captain, 1944, and retired in 1950.
