Percival Miller Chadwick became a lecturer in engineering at Birmingham University before being commissioned into the Royal Engineers. The son of Ellis Henry and Esther Alice Chadwick, of Parkstone, Dorset, he was killed in action at Holnon Wood, St Quentin, 22 September, 1918, aged 30 and is buried at the Trefcon British cemetery, Caulaincourt
