B.E.M. London Gazette 1 January 1945. ‘7536216 S/Sgt. Guiness George Lashmar, Army Dental Corps.’
Recommendation states: ‘This N.C.O. has been employed as chief clerk to ADDS at Headquarters of a District since 9 August 1940. For the last two years of this period he has been serving as chief clerk to the officer making this recommendation. During the whole period he has shown great devotion to duty, often under very difficult circumstances, particularly during the period when great pressure of work devolved on this department owing to large contingents (?) for priority dental work for the Second Army. It is felt that his services have been of outstanding merit, and that he has willingly and cheerfully carried through a very ? task in a manner that is worthy of the highest commendation.’
Recommended by the Lieutenant-Colonel of the ADDS Norfolk and Cambridge District.
