Three: Private W. Garland, Royal Army Medical Corps, who died in France, 17 October 1918

William Garland was born in Leeds, lived in Bridlington and enlisted at Newcastle-upon-Tyne. As a Private in the R.A.M.C. he entered a theatre of war - serving on a hospital ship, on 22 December 1915. As a Private in the 75th Field Ambulance, R.A.M.C., he died in France on 17 October 1918, aged 20 years. He was buried in the Tourgeville Military Cemetery, near Trouville. He was the son of Mr & Mrs Edmund Garland of 23 Promenade, Bridlington, East Yorkshire.
