Anderson Collection, Croydon Coin Auctions, 18 October 1995, lot 1614, P.J. Preston-Morley Collection, DNW Auction 58, 24-5 June 2003, lot 1254 (part); others J. Kendall Bourne Collection.
Nicholas Rodsby (†1658), apothecary, wife’s name Jan; Henry Serson, innholder, The Falcon, gentleman; Edward Tomson, chandler. There is a strong likelihood that the Tomson tokens were issued by a father and son, PPM 41-4 being the issues of the father (†1666), PPM 45 (the obv. die of which would suggest an issue of c. 1668) and the 1666 halfpence (PPM 46 [not present here] and 47) the issues of the son (†1691)
