Private Herbert George Michael, 2 Battalion Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 24 March 1915. Later served in the Somerset Light Infantry in India. With brass plate bearing the Somerset Light Infantry badge and impressed, ‘36231 H. Michael’; also with riband bar and a copied m.i.c.
Private Frederick C. Michael, Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 1 April 1915. Later discharged to Class ‘Z’ Reserve. With registered envelope addressed to him in Cornwall and copied m.i.c.
