An unusual cavalry sword, by Henry Wilkinson, the heavy deeply curved 91cm blade undecorated and stamped simply Wilkinson London at the forte the solid steel guard pierced with two small circular holes and with provision for a sword knot, no backstrap, large steel oval pommel, solid hardwood chequered grip of similar shape to that found on an Indian tulwar, complete with its wood scabbard covered in black leather with massive steel chape fully 65cm long, good condition overall, scabbard leather well replaced £200-250
A most unusual sword which can probably be associated with the Indian cavalry.
