26th Cameronian Regiment c. 1879 a Watercolour by Charles Stadden, depicting the Drum Major in full dress wearing scarlet tunic with yellow facings, the 1878 pattern helmet, he wears a scarlet sash, ornamental belt, he is carrying his special pattern stave and sword. Alongside is a youthful drummer boy in scarlet tunic with yellow facings again wearing the 1878 pattern helmet and is shown with his side drum, initialled C.C.S., 16 x 22 cms now contained in a glazed modern frame, very good condition £80-120
This lot was sold as part of a special collection, The Collection of Militaria to Welsh Regiments formed by the Late Llewellyn Lord.
