Horace Dobbins, a native of Birmingham, served with ‘A’ Battery, 242nd Army Brigade, Royal Field Artillery during the Great War, and died on the Western Front on 28 March 1918. He is buried in Hersin Communal Cemetery Extension, France.
Sold together with the recipient’s identity disc; Record Office enclosure for the Medals; Buckingham Palace enclosure for the plaque; and various photographs of the recipient’s grave.
