Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 1 clasp, Elandslaagte (81862 Gnr: R. James, 42nd. Bty., R.F.A.) pawn broker’s mark to obverse field, good very fine and scarce as a single clasp £500-700
R. James served with the 42nd Battery, Royal Field Artillery, in South Africa during the Boer War, and was killed in action at Farquhar’s Farm on 30 October 1899.
