D.C.M. London Gazette 15 September 1915:
‘For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty on the Gallipoli Peninsula. Although wounded on 20th May 1915, he continued to perform his duties, and showed the highest courage on 25th May in aiding wounded under fire.’
