India General Service 1908-35, 1 clasp, Afghanistan N.W.F. 1919 (Capt. A. C. Jebb, R.A.M.C.) unit officially corrected, nearly extremely fine £140-£180

Alastair Caulfield Jebb was educated at Glasgow University and was commissioned Lieutenant in the Royal Army Medical Corps form the Glasgow University Contingent, Officer Training Corps, on 24 April 1914. He served during the Great War on the Western Front from 20 March 1915, and was Mentioned in Despatches (London Gazette 1 January 1916). Promoted Captain on 15 March 1918, and acting Major on 7 June 1918, he subsequently served in Mesopotamia (entitled to the General Service Medal with clasp Iraq) and in Afghanistan during the Third Afghan War.
