George Lanham was born at Fisherton, Salisbury, and enlisted into the Royal Marines in November 1848. He was discharged in January 1870, due to length of service, and served in the China campaign in 1860 aboard H.M.S. Cambrian. Sold with copies from the medal roll for this ship and service details.
