Officer of the Rank of General Shoulder Belt Plate, a most fine and rare example, HM London 1805, no maker’s mark, of domed oval outline the silver gilt face with a beaded silver rim and silver mount being the Royal Arms of Great Britain 1801-1814, a scroll ‘Peninsula’ presumably added in late 1815, one hook and two stud fasteners, the Unicorn’s horn missing otherwise in excellent condition £1,000-£1,500
NOTE. The opulence of this plate could possibly suggest a Royal connection.
