Lady Edith Louisa Julie Rogers was married to Sir John Godfrey Rogers, K.C.V.O., D.S.O., Commanding the British Red Cross in Egypt. Lady Rogers served seventeen months nursing as V.A.D. in the Red Cross Hospital at Cairo, Egypt; Section leader of detachment executive; on committees for convalescent outings, Nurses (Red Cross) Club, Red Cross Work Rooms; President of Committee running permanent canteens for troops and railway canteens. She was appointed Dame of Grace of St. John on 20 July, 1917 and C.B.E. on 3 June 1918.
