Bailey, a vignette of Adam Smith, as used on the £20 of 2007 until the present day, black ink on large format paper, with pencil annotation “No 1 - May 8 2008” at top right, signed in tiny lettering by the engraver, M. Wilson, who is known for his highly skilled work on De La Rue notes of this period, very minor differences between this and the final note, but this is clearly the initial design at the very least, uncirculated, extremely rare and a striking image
