Ensign 26 October 1809; Lieutenant 8 June 1811; Half Pay 18 Nov 1819; later 60th Foot and Barrackmaster at Chichester. Lieutenant Hector Graham served in the West Indies, where he was engaged in several actions. He was also at the capture of Minorca; the expulsion of the French from Egypt as Sergeant in the 90th Foot; and in the Peninsula and France to the conclusion of the war. At the capture of Badajoz he was the first who entered that fortress. When on board the Samuel and Jane transport with 300 soldiers, captured a privateer which came alongside that vessel at night, when the fire of the troops annihilated her crew. Lieutenant Graham received four severe wounds during these services.
