3476 Private J. Turner, 3rd K.R.R.C. was severely wounded by a gunshot wound in the left lung at Ingogo River, 8 February 1881. He was killed in action at Abu Klea, 17 January 1885. Only 1 officer and 24 other ranks served with the Camel Corps at Abu Klea, Private Turner being the only one killed.
