Wilfred Edward Behenna was born in St Just In Roseland, Truro, Cornwall, on 2 December 1901 and attested for the Royal Army Service Corps on 2 November 1920. Advanced Mechanist Sergeant Major, he was awarded his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal in 1939, and was promoted Warrant Officer Class I on 21 January 1940. He transferred to the Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers on 1 October 1942, before transferring back on 22 April 1943. He was commissioned Lieutenant (Mechanist Officer) on 1 November 1943, and was promoted Captain on 1 November 1947. He died in Carnon Downs, Truro, Cornwall, on 3 November 1977.
