Pierced for suspension, cracked in centre, otherwise very fine and very rare; with original green cord £200-£300

Racing has taken place at the Maze course, near Lisburn, now known as the Down Royal racecourse, since the early 18th century, on land donated by Arthur Hill, 1st Marquess of Downshire.
