Charles Hawker attested for the Oxfordshire Light Infantry in 1888 and served as Company Quartermaster Sergeant with the 7th Battalion, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry during the Great War on the Western Front from 21 September 1915. He was discharged on 3 March 1919.
