Henry James Daw, a native of Redbridge, Hampshire, attested for the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry and served with them during the Great War on the Western Front from 19 December 1914. Transferring to the Royal Dublin Fusiliers, he died of wounds on 25 October 1918, and is buried in Abbeville Communal Cemetery Extension, France.
