Newbigin DSc., Lecturer; Systematic Botany, Awarded to Barbara Richardson, Session 1903, Dr. R. Stewart MacDougall M.A., Lecturer’, all in Kirkwood, Edinburgh cases of issue, extremely fine, the prize medals all rare (4) £800-£1,000

Miss Barbara Richardson was born at Stuffynwoods, near Mansfield, and was educated at East Bridgford College, Nottingham, and Edinburgh University, graduating M.B., Ch.B. in 1907. She served with the French Red Cross during the Great War on the Western Front at the Scottish Women's Hospital at Rouaymont from May 1918, and subsequently served as Assistant Medical Officer of Health for Staffordshire County Council.
