Thomas Edward Bennett attested for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry on 29 August 1911, and served with the 2nd Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 31 August 1914. He was discharged due to wounds on 19 June 1917, and was awarded a Silver War Badge, no. 210092.
Oliver Hornblow was born in 1895 and attested for the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry at Oxford. He served with the 1st/4th Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front from 29 March 1915, and was killed in action in the vicinity of Skyline Trench, Ovillers, during the Battle of the Somme on 14 August 1916. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, France.
