Edward Jones attested for the Royal Welsh Fusiliers at Conway and served with the 6th Battalion during the Great War in the Gallipoli theatre of War from 8 August 1915. He suffered a bayonet wound to the arm on 12 June 1918, and was disembodied on 9 August 1919. He was awarded the Territorial Force Efficiency Medal on 1 May 1919, and the Second Award Bar in February 1931.
