A diamond and ruby ‘Trophy of love’ pendant, modelled as crossed flaming Hymenean torch and quiver of arrows, each set with calibré-cut rubies and graduated old brilliant and old single-cut diamonds, within an articulated oval garland hoop of diamond set flowerheads and foliage, to diamond set ribbon bow surmount, suspending a central diamond set pear-shaped drop and another below, to a pavé set diamond bale with hinged back, pendant length 7.6cm. £3,000-£4,000
The flaming torch and quiver of arrows are symbolic of Cupid/Eros, the classical god of love.
