R.H.S. Case No. 26,259: ‘Whilst sculling a boat between 11 and 12 a.m. on 26 November 1892 at West Cowes, Isle of Wight, Sidney Peach, aged 18, slipped and fell into the water 20 yards from shore. James Thomas Young, a shipwright from West Cowes, jumped from the pier and swam 20 yards, and with great difficulty caught Peach and brought him safely to shore.’
