Kings of Northumbria, Alchred (765-74), Sceatta or Penny, aluhrcd [retrograde and inverted] around small cross, rev. lion or beast advancing right, forepaw raised, cross below, 1.07g/9h (SCBI Abramson 865, same obv. die; Abramson 71-10; N 179; S 849). A few minor surface marks, otherwise good very fine, well struck up and retaining dark find patina; very rare thus £600-£800
