Roman, bronze Mercury banqueteer, 1st-2nd century, 4cm x 4cm x 5mm, reclining figure of a half-draped male holding a purse in his right hand and leaning with his left arm on a cushion; moulded in the round but narrow with a curve to the base where it may have been attached to a drinking vessel. Fine with a green patina, but with wear to the face £80-£100
found in Hampshire
Several of these figures have been recorded from southern Britain.
