The Welch Regiment Officer’s Helmet Plate 1881-82.
An excessively rare and fine example, standard crowned eight pointed star pattern with laurel and garter overlays, in the centre on a ground of black velvet the Prince of Wales’s crest and motto and scroll ‘Gwell Angau Neu Chwilydd’, below the garter a silver scroll ‘The Welch Regiment’, complete with all three loop fasteners, two ray tips lacking gilt via oxidisation otherwise excellent condition £300-£400
