John Dennehy was born in 1876 in the Parish of St Patrick’s, Cork, and enlisted into the Royal Dublin Fusiliers in 1895. He is enlisted in the Regimental History as having been wounded by a gun shot in the right hip at Hart’s Hill on 23 February 1900.
