Alexander Davison’s Medal for The Nile 1798, copper-gilt, inscribed in the reverse field (John Garrett, H.M.S. Defence) fitted with rings for suspension, edge bruises and nicks, otherwise nearly very fine £200-250
John Garrett was entitled to the N.G.S. medal with clasps for ‘1 June 1794’ and ‘Nile’, serving in the first action as Ordinary Seaman and at the Nile as Able Seaman, aboard H.M.S. Defence.
