James II (1437-1460), First coinage, Groat, Third Fleur-de-lis issue, Edinburgh, mm. cross pattée, tressure of eight arcs, reads iacobvs and gracia, legend ends scot, annulet on breast, rev. lis in first and third, three pellets in second and fourth quarters, nothing in centre of cross, double annulet stops both sides, 1.94g/2h (SCBI 35, 680; SCBI 72, 601; B 8, fig. 504; S 5225). About fine, the variety very rare £200-£300
