James III (1460-1488), Light issue, 1467, Groat, Berwick, mm. cross pattée, tressure of eight arcs, trefoils on some cusps, t to left and l to right of neck, reads d gra, legend ends scotor, rev. three pellets and annulet in first and third, mullet of six points in second and fourth quarters, cross pattée before vil, double saltire stops both sides, 2.58g/3h (SCBI 35, 746-7, same dies; SCBI 72, 771, same dies; B 5a, fig. –; S 5266, this coin). Full, round, about very fine, a very rare and sought-after type with a fine provenance £1,500-£2,000
