Five: Sergeant R. Broxson, Manchester Regiment

R.); Jubilee 1935, unnamed as issued; Territorial Force Efficiency Medal, G.V.R. with additional long service clasp (11 Pte. R. Broxsom [sic]. 5/Manch. Richard Broxson served initially in the 1st Volunteer Battalion of the Manchester Regiment, and served as a stretcher bearer during the Great War with the 5th Territorial Battalion, and later with the Labour Corps. He re-enlisted into the Territorial Army after the Great War and was re-numbered 3511006. He appears on the medal roll for the 1935 Jubilee Medal as 3511006, Sgt. R. Broxson, 5th Bn. Manchester Regiment. (T.A.). He is noted as having been a member of the 5th Battalion Band and served in the Territorial Army up to 1939. He died aged 85 in May 1955.
