The Uniform Coinage of India, British Imperial Period, Victoria, copper Quarter-Annas (4), all 1862 [1862-5], type B/I [Prid. A/I], Calcutta, crowned and robed bust left, victoria queen, 4.25 panels in jabot, single flower in lowest panel, v in relief on bodice, rev. one quarter anna above india and date, all within scroll-like wreath of Indian flora, leaf on each side below date, larger beads in inner circle, edge plain, 25.3mm, 6.49g/12h (Prid. 601 [Sale, lot 164]; SW 4.166; KM. 467); [1864-6], type D/I [Prid. A/I] (2), both Bombay, similar, but v incuse on bodice, edges plain, 6.48g/12h, 6.36g/12h (Prid. 602 [Sale, lot 164]; SW 4.170; KM. 467); type B/I [Prid. A/I], Madras, similar, but no v on bodice, edge plain, 6.62g/12h (Prid. 604 [Sale, lot 164]; SW 4.172; KM. 467) [4]. Second with spot on Queen’s neck, otherwise good very fine with a hint of original colour, others about very fine and better £40-£50
