George Edwardes was a tremendously successful English theatre manager and producer. From 1885 for about 30 years, he owned many of the very large theatres in the West End, including the Adelphi, Gaity and Daly’s.
Charles Frohman was an American Jewish Theatre manager who was successful on both sides of the Atlantic, often shipping stars from England to America, and vice versa. Frohman was one of the high profile casualties of the sinking of the RMS Lusitania in 1915.
