A George VI silver three piece christening set by Wakely & Wheeler, comprising a fork, knife and spoon, with plain faceted handles, hallmarked for London 1941 and 1942, contained in fitted Goldsmiths & Silversmiths’ Co. Ltd case, with hand written letter from his godmother, Lady Patricia Ramsay reading:

‘For....on his christening 4th Aug. 1942 from his godmother Patsy’ .

This christening set was presented to Prince Michael of Kent on the occasion of his christening on 4 August 1942 by his godmother Lady Patricia Ramsay.



Lady Victoria Patricia Helena Ramsay (1886-1974) was a granddaughter of Queen Victoria. Upon her marriage to Alexander Ramsay in February 1919, she relinquished her title of H.R.H. Princess Patricia of Connaught.
