Roman Republican Coinage, Manius Acilius Glabrio, Denarii (2), Rome, 49 BC, salvtis upwards behind laureate head of Salus right, wearing earring and necklace, knot of hair ornamented with jewels, rev. mn acilivs iii vir valetv around Valetudo standing left, resting left arm on column, holding serpent in right, 3.62g/1h (Ghey 253.1, this coin; Craw. 442/1a; BMCRR 3945; RSC Acilia 8; Sear 16); together with another of the same type, 3.86g/6h (Ghey 253.4, this coin) [2]. Banker’s marks on both to include wreath shaped banker’s mark around eye of Salus on first example, otherwise well centred and and both fine £60-£80
